How are the miles for a new team starting at Schneider? We are both new graduates.

Don't know but once y'all get some experience I'd move on from their.I think my friends at Old Dominion are making .63 split and I'm sure SNI isn't doing that

You are correct Travis. I always recommend after a year to look at other options. My son was able to get on with UPS and now runs 5500 miles a week at .50 cpm starting. He's out four and home three....nice gig. Schneider is good for starting which is what I tell others. I think we cap out at 50cpm.

I've always wondered how the team IC's do. We had a husband and wife team in my orientation class but I never did get their info to stay in touch.

The team IC load board is different than the solo board. I have talked with a couple of team IC's and they were complaining about DH 200-300 miles just to find a decent load. This was months ago and I haven't heard anything about how any of IC's are doing right now especially with low fuel surcharge

    FatDaddy Thanks this.

I've been taking now for 5 months. You have to basically beg for the miles. I was solo for 2yrs first. They have a tier system that they use to determine how the team earns miles. . Tier 1 they will have you do multiple short runs for 2 months. . In my opinion it's not worth it really, more loads means more stopping and going when you're trying to sleep. More papers to keep up with. .. sometimes we only were getting 3-3500miles... it was because of the way they would plan or load.

We stayed in the Midwest unless we would call and beg to get out west.
They micro manage the hell out of teams. Once i caked my dbl to have a meeting , after being frustrated with those small paychecks, he explained the tier system...
Tier 2, they give you those coast to coast loads. .. in 5 months, weve only seen close to the advertised 6k mi week maybe 4 times. We go home every two weeks.

I am actually looking into ic team. ..or either moving on to better. I'm waiting for my partner to hit his 1year mark trucking so that we can move on to something else. ... i did better as a solo guy and was home most weekends.

My team driver and I ran Tier 3 loads. 4800 to 7000 miles per week. Of course, there were times when mileage would be less as we only stayed out 2 weeks at a time. Lots of Midwest to west coast loads. Yours and your team drivers ability to trip plan and get loads delivered on time as well as having a good DBL will determine what kind of experience you will have as a team. I can't wait to get back to teaming. Better money, better miles, less live loads, unloads.
