I think it's currently $.20 off the per gallon cash price at the pilot/flying J's. Though that discount changes every 2 weeks. I personally use a different fuel card that usually gets a $.10/gal better discount than what schneider's program offers. Look into nastc. Search on here for a thread about nastc, you'll see a lot of good info in that program.

Congrats on getting approved. What truck you getting? Who were the other companies you got approved for?

I understand the advice given, I guess I should have prefaced my comment with "I'm intelligent" LOL

I completely understand all the variables and wouldn't accept a load paying $10/mi going 100 miles taking 5 days to deliver with a live load/unload at a shipper/receiver who's known to take 6hrs at each stop.

I guess my viewpoint was "am I missing something" you choose the load that is paying the highest that fits the needs of your trip plan, keeps you in the freight lanes for good freight and only take that crap load if you absolutely need to.

Once accepted and given the truck I will open a new thread and keep everyone updated on my progress.

I appreciate everyone on here who gives good advice and isn't a naysayer.

Thanks again to all of you

It's not always us being a naysayer, there's a charlotte and Green Bay OC full of turned in trucks because it's not as easy as typing it out on TTR.

You will see what we say and why we say what we do once you have a truck and can do it yourself.

    Good luck

3 deep in the back row of transient parking in Charlotte. Taking up roughly 10 parking spots? As many or more on the entrance side. Not to mention the ic trucks in the bobtail section, brand new.

Not much of a demand for used freightshakers at the moment i guess.
Or cheap Schneider isn't selling them cheap enough.
I'd go with a combination of both.
