Just a thought...this thread would be most useful if everyone posted where they run, so we know what region each service is working in. I can see east coast, with the population density, being must less of an issue than western drivers have with signal.

Currently using Verizon, had Nextel for a while, their Direct Connect was great but the phone service was the pitts! Now merged with Sprint they have new phones that handle the Sprint phones service along with the Nextel Direct Connect. From what I understand the service is outstanding, but the phone's battery life is pitiful.

We have sprint, and I think it works great. My battery is good for about 3 days.

The ones with the low battery time are the new Motorola Hybrid phones.

Ther verizon air card is awesome. I have used it everywhere. Anyplace I can get a faint cell signal, I can get online. Only place I have ever had a problem was Kingman, AZ. Not sure why. Verizon is great. I have also heard a lot of great things about Alltell.

Ive had sprint, cingular, tmobile, and boost.
There have always been dead spots and dropped calls at my house. One of my friends had verizon and still had the same problem! The only reason i have boost is for the pay as you go feature.
Now and days with the unlimited plans for $99 there is no need to stay with any company that you constantly drop calls with. -
I have Verizon. I also have there Aircard for my laptop. I am 100% happy with the service. I am on my aircard right now.
maldar Thanks this. -
I run Sprint. I use the "Everything" package with a Q Motto. This thing give me the net, email, weather, TV, and a great Navigation system with live traffic updates and rerouting. It is the best GPS I have ever used, and it is on my cel phone. The strength of signal is going to depend on the type of phone you are using instead. Some drivers swear by a signal amp, but I have never used them. I am very happy with the digital coverage area. With no roaming or long distance, nothing can beat Sprint. Especially for $99 a month.
maldar Thanks this.
