We had a guy leave a shop I was working at with a 125 foot boom lift and not 1 chain on it. He was only going a couple kilometers but still, that'd be an expensive bill if it slid off.

Back around 1980 I was moving a farmers D-7E, no blade or rippers, from the west side of US 101 to the east side. I bumped it up against the wide gooseneck on the Murray, shut it off, left it in gear & ratcheted down both pedals. Tracks sitting on 2x12 DF decking. Flat ground all the way. Would never be over 20 mph. No concern at all, however, as I crossed the overpass a CHP pulled up to the end of the ramp and looked at my tractor 30' from his nose. he did get out his little book and gave me a stern talkin to. Cost me only about 65 bucks back then.Dye Guardian Thanks this.
