thank you experienced drivers

    I have been a company driver for 4 years and 5 months. I lasted 4 months with my first company because I went thru 6 "trainers" in that time frame. Finally, I had enough and was out of trucking for 6 months. In the mean time, I missed being out on the road and told myself I was not going to let a few bad "trainers" ruin my career. During this 6 months off, I read numerous forums on this site and what caught my eye is that a lot of experienced truckers said to hang in there, put up with the stuff that goes on, and GET Two Years OTR and then better companies offering more money, time off, etc. will come. Yes, I did go thru a lot of stuff but I took the forum advice and after 3 years I finally received a good paying company driver job. If it weren't for you experienced truckers telling the truth of what goes on otr, I would have given up trucking. So, once again THANK YOU to you experienced truckers whether your company or o/o. Also, for the new truckers out there, keep your heads up, do your time, and get two years otr and better companies and offers will come your way. God Bless Truckers and Be safe

    It has helped me out quite a bit as well. So, thank you to all of you that chime in good and bad.

    This forum has given me the ammo I need to see past the recruiters BS and what questions to ask.

    I am not as active as I use to be, kind of miss it sometimes. But got tired of the same questions over and over and over, with people not even trying to read around the forums for answers first. Met allot of good people here, some of which I met in person at various company's and truckstops over the years. Still around and still driving though, so hit me up if you have questions I may be able to answer.

    It's kind of amusing that I've been... lurking, for lack of a better word, here for a few months. But it's true, much like the ears can't work if the mouth is running; you don't learn much if you aren't observing.
