I know most brokerages are using proprietary transportation management systems that they have developed themselves, but to those who are paying for a TMS, which one do you use? What do you like and dislike about it? Also, is it web based?
What TMS system are you currently using?

No, I'm starting my own brokerage and curious what everyone prefers.

Mercury Gate.
It's okay, a little glitchy.gwebster Thanks this. -
DrDispatch - very outdated, lots and lots of work that needs to be done. I know McLeod is popular but $2500+ a month

gti, Thank you for your response. I did a demo with DrDispatch a few days ago. Very nice people, but yes, their system is pretty outdated. The two best systems I've come across thus far are BrokerPro and LoadManager.
Anyone have any experience with either one? -
McLeod has outstanding software (we use it) but is terribly expensive.

how much expensive ?
-
They say their target market is companies with 50 trucks and up. Our initial investment was $60K and $700 per month. We are in the process of spending another $100K additional to add brokerage module, online load tracking (for customer viewing) module, document archival and billing modules and modules for a number of other integrations (Macropoint, UFollowIt, DAT, ITS, DAT Rateview, Carrier 411, etc). Despite the prices, the investment is worth it. We tried 2-3 cheaper solutions first/ We would probably have two more people in dispatch if we had our old software (ITS Dispatch or Prophesy). I do NOT work for McLeod. I am just a satisfied customer.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 26, 2016
