Yeah, I was going to say that Craigslist is full of big companies offering refresher courses to anyone whose experience has expired after 5 years or something like that but still has a Class A... There is one that runs every day here from Western Express that says basically they don't care where you get a CDL from as long as you have one and some kind of experience at some point. Says right in it that they count local experience, farm experience, dump truck experience.. They say they will hire you... Seen the same from both Schneider and Dart... Lots of information on CL... I use the Joplin page.
Falcon86a Thanks this. -
I haven't driven for 14 years and have no Class A work experience. Swift and Dart didn't mention any refresher or specific course, only stated that on the truck training would be needed. 200 hours for Swift and 5-6 weeks for Dart.
Prime said I had to go through their full school program same as any non-CDL holder would. The only difference being that I wouldn't need a MO permit and DMV driving test. -
Did you check MCT Transportation or CTL Transportation? They may still have their school in Florida.

They are on my list, but I have something in the works with a more preferable company in the next couple weeks so haven't gotten to them yet. Don't want to jinx myself by saying too much just yet.

I may be wrong but I don't think the insurance carriers micromanage to that extent. I think they only want the basic things like no DWI's etc etc and are happy as long as the driver is trained by the company to operate the equipment. I don't know for sure but something tells me the insurance carriers have already approved all the company training.

I called Schneider last week, I have had my CDL since 2010 and never used it. They told me take a 40 hour refresher and then call them back.
