The door sticker is what the nice DOT man is going to look at before he writes the ticket. All the other ratings are irrelevant. You can't exceed the limits on the door sticker no matter how huge of axles you put on your trailer.

What? Not even close to 32,000.

Nope. I've had tractors(Freightliner and Volvo)weigh in at 32-34K bobtail weight, depending on amount of fuel in the tanks and engine/ power train configurations. 24K might sound reasonable if the tractor didn't have the engine in it but for argument's we'll assume that the tractor has one.

Somebody has their chevy on the scale with your truck. Either that or they are tri drive, triple framed v12 cats.

You do know that bobtail is without a trailer right? There is no way that truck comes in that heavy.

Heck, the heaviest truck we have is only 27k and that one has a winch on it too.

Nope. I'm on pounds(have more than enough scale tickets to prove it).

1st tractor I drove was a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia sleeper cab with a Detroit DD15/10-speed manual with 200 gallon fuel tank capacity(100 gallons each side, plus a 20 gal DEF tank). That one weigh usually around 32-33K pounds with half full tanks.
2nd tractor I drove was a 2015 Volvo VNL 64T670 with the D13 engine and 12-speed"I-Shift" automatic with 250 gallon fuel capacity (125 gallons each side) and a 23 gallon DEF tank. Even with half tanks that truck weighed in around 34K pounds on a good day.

No. Just, no. We're talking about the tractor only with NO trailer. A 2015 VNL might weigh 34k with a reefer trailer hooked up, but not bobtail.

Not a chance it weighs that much unless you have a 14,000lb empty dry van hooked to it when you are weighing. I have the exact same peterbilts in our fleet and bobtail with full fuel they are around 21k, with our trailers on, they weigh between 34k and 35k depending on how much fuel we have on board.
