Any opinions on NEMF as a potential employer for a new driver?

Are you sure they hire new drivers? It's a decent LTL job, though not the best out there. They are union, but aren't Teamsters; they're in with the machinists. I'm not sure exactly what their benefits are. The equipment has been getting better in recent years.

If you want to be home every day it would beat any sleeper gig you'd get starting out. The specifics about any LTL gig will vary according to the local terminal, so a new hire could have it sweet in one location but rough in another.

That forum isn't very active, but you may get an answer from a NEMF driver there.

    TPC Thanks this.
