The bulk containers have placards on all sides - which are visible FROM all sides. My question is this: Since the bulk containers placards are visible, is it still required to placard the truck and trailer?

As long as all containers are the same and can see placards, should be good to go.

No placard required in the front of the tractor?

So, if the placard on the front of the containers is not visible, put one on the front of the trailer. If the front of the trailer is not visible, put one on the front of the tractor..... Correct?

The placards need to be on all 4 sides of the trailer - this way - if you drop the trailer - you are still compliant! However - with that being said - yes - it is legal if it is on the tractor instead - just don't drop the trailer!

If the bulk container placards are visible, there is no need to put them on the trailer.

Just make sure they are the full size placards. The little mini placards that get put on totes are not enough to satisfy the requirements.

    Chewy352 Thanks this.
