It's amazing how much a little scratch can cost.
KriegHund Thanks this. -
I think it goes deeper then just paying it.If he doesn't get it reduced it could be a few yrs before he drives again even with the worst of the worst companies.roadmap65, TequilaSunrise and KriegHund Thank this.

Op if you plan on trying to get this reduced I would suggest you hurry up and do so, once a yr has passed I doubt you'll have a case.
paulpost and TequilaSunrise Thank this. -
I would fight it! I am guarding my CDL like gold!

Can not tell for sure by your statement, but have you been to court and convicted already, or is your case still pending?
pattyj Thanks this. -
I retract my statement of not being worthy of an attorney. Further review showed me careless driving is a little more of an issue than thought. Then I haven't had but 1 ticket in 20 years, and that was 16 years ago. As a young lad I drove very fast cars, and not a lick o sense.
TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
your impeccable driving record before this careless charge won't make a bit of difference far as trucking companies are concerned. All they'll see is that careless driving which is as bad as a drunk driving charge and abandonement. So I would try and get it reduced. But if you already pled guilty then sad to say you're probably SOL.

I was not in court I just paid the fine is this considered as pled guilty?
