This made me mad!

It would be nice if everyone could go back to an even playing field instead of "who's got the bigger badder radio".

I think ensuring a radio is right on tune/frequency and so forth is a good idea, but not trying to wring every last half watt out of it. That's where folks get carried away and end up with garbage sounding radios.

 

For decades we tried to get rid of controled carrer ( grid ) modulation.

Now people are paying to have it put in ...

 

All this and still no report on the repaired radio. Looking forward to your thoughts Sequoia, Although you may not appreciate it as much as the rest of us will.

 

It would also be nice if we could get back to QSL cards and that whole comraderie scene, instead of the "shut-up stupid" and "cb karate" crap

 

Speaking of cardfs I just ordered 1,000 new ones

Old thread first time I have read it, felt it was worth resurrecting, hope you all dont mind and you benefit from it, for you seasoned cbers sorry if it is old news.

 

I dunno. If you've ever taken a radio apart and put it back together, you know how sometimes, there'll be parts left over. If you take it apart and put it back together enough times, eventually you'll have enough spare parts to build another radio.
