Actually, yes we did right after the original post and have been over here almost a year and a half. (Sorry for the delay in answering!) We are doing well here but decided to buy our own truck and go to Roadrunner. CRST pays 70% of line haul and 97% FSC. They do a lot of expedited stuff (FedEx, UPS, etc..) Lots of times, you don't even have time to breathe on a load and the delivery times are impossible. It's not bad as long as you have a good co driver but I wouldn't train and that's what they try to force you to do if you come in solo.

I was told that I will start off at .042cpm as a solo and .50cpm with a student. do these sound accurate for pay? -

here is what the recruiter told me today about the way the miles work with a student:
The miles are the only thing that is split. With a student, you will get .50/mile. If your truck goes 5000 miles, you get paid for 2500 miles at .50. That would be $1250 for you.
His original answer was with a student onboard I would get 100% of the miles ran regardless of me or student driving then he changed it to the above. wont drive for someone that does this kind of recruiting. might just say heck with driving for a major and find something different to do until I can save up and increase my credit score.
thanks again
