Caterpillar 5kj serial numbers ?

    Got another question for you knowledgeable people. My cat 425 ls serial is 5kj 06067. I'm trying to find the parts manual and engine maintenance manuls at cat or online to buy. I've found a few but I want to make sure I'm getting the correct manuals. I called cat and they want $200 bucks. I asked which manual is right for my motor and he simply said it would cover 5kj 1-7799. The next manual is for 5kj 7800 and up. My serial number has 5 digits after the 5kj. Cat guy is probably right but I have to ask lol. Do the manuals leave out the first 0 in the serial number? Does anyone know? I want to check before buying the wrong one. Is my motor a weirdo or something maybe the only one with a zero in from of the actual 4 digit number lol!?

    Here is a website from CAT that you can punch in your engine serial number 5kj06067 and find part numbers and prices for items on your particular engine.

    As far as an engine maintenance manual, I'm not sure on that, maybe someone else will chime in.

    Ther serial can be listed either way when only 4 digits.

    5kj engines aren't real common so the likely hood of finding something serial specific running around eBay is slim to none.

    I found 2 different manuals 5kj specific on eBay. One is 5kj and up and is an engine maintenance manual for 20 bucks and the other is 5kj1-7799 and is a parts manual. I'd like to buy both but just wanna make sure the ladder is the correct manual.
