Actual Miles

I popped in their thread and they were like code 90 code 90!! I know that pain , 2 days for five picks in salinas then 3 days to get to the east coast or ten hours at a SAMs club or kroger , lumpers, receivers who hate you , fugghedaboutit

 

I get hung up on the miles being off as well.
I know I for one go by the rate per mile.
But as we are on percentage it doesn't really matter if the miles are off.
We decide to book the load and run it regardless of how many miles it's off by.

I think TennMan is just showing what a lot of us have thought about.
Why are rates still on the HHMG miles?

I honestly don't see why the estimated rate per loaded mile couldn't be posted on the board in practical miles. Every one knows already that the rate they are posting is going to be off, they're not fooling anyone.

It would simply be more convenient for us, especially those that run the NE, where the difference is more noticeable.

You never know, a while back I suggested here that it might be a good idea if we could insert shipments ourselves and now we can.

As far as empty miles, while it might be possible to show actual miles instead of air miles, I think it would probably bog down the system. This opinion is from someone who knows next to nothing about computers, so I could be way off.
