Hirchbach has a very bad reputation as being cheap. I live across the river. They could not find company drivers around here anymore. So now they're sticking to people with fleece deals. Wow. A sucker born every minute.

Most negative comments on leasing come from drivers spouting truck stop rumors and using drive by insults. No, he has never worked for them but living across the river qualifies him as an expert on the subject. I don't know anything about the lease program at Hirchbach so have no comment, maybe others will learn to do the same.

Here is my opinion on leasing in general; Many leases are not good for the driver and no matter how many miles you drive the chances of success are slim, the deck is stacked against you, ie-TransAm. A few lease programs are good and you will make considerably more money than a company driver and will own a truck at the end of it. Now here is the big one;> 90% of truck drivers are not qualified to lease and will fail. Holding a steering wheel does not a business owner make. Most of the drivers that have failed should never have leased in the first place.

Not everyone is the same. You have to try it for you're self. You can't say something bad unless you try it.

People like you will never get anywhere in life. You just listen to what ever people say so you're probably gonna be a company driver for the rest of you're life that's it you're even a truck driver..

You really should listen to Freightwipper on this one. He is correct when saying that load rates are cheap.
Do you think your DM is just going to hand pick all the high paying loads just for you.
I wish you luck, but your going find out that your going to work alot harder, and stay out much longer, than when you were a company driver.
If your lucky you might net $30,00 in your first year as a o/o. That's being generous.
But maybe we are wrong, and you found the golden goose of lease to own companies, and they truly have your best interests at heart.
Hate to break to you, but at the end of the day your company, is only interested in turning a profit.
For many of these companies, the lease to own program is their bread and butter. They earn money on freight without all of the overhead.
    Best of luck.

true but the many posts on this very company speaks volumns. When it comes to making money in this industry why not give the company a trial run first as a company driver. If drivers choose to lease it would make better since finding a company with a good reputation which this company does not. There is very little success stories on leasing.Which means I don't need to try it to find out for myself only to get burned.
