Side mirrors on a volvo 760 ,2016.

The stock antenna or are you adding a stand alone one?

 

I'm a big fan of anyone who likes to do a job right, but for this one you may want to reconsider using a bird perch and run coax through a grommet.

To get inside inside the mirror aim the mirror down, press on the bottom of the glass so the top will clear the housing and lift up.

Find the 3 clips holding the back of the mirror housing and use a flathead screwdriver to pop the clips.

 

Or you can drive across the gwb and have a container hauler take the mirror cover off when he hits it with his mirror.

 

You pretty much have to rip the whole truck apart to do it correctly on those mirror brackets, which is precisely why I made my own brackets which bolted to the outside of the fairings on the rear of the truck and then I fed my cable out through a rubber grommet underneath my bunk

 

LOL! I love it!

 

So... How about the inside. Anyone know what it takes to put the coax inside the cab when the CB is mounted over the drivers head and to the right??? I am interested in a clean factory style installation with the best coax I can find

 

I haven't done this myself, only investigated it, and I'm posting from memory.
Fish the wire down the mirror arm, remove the door panel and fish it through the door to cab loom/grommet. That gets you to the kick panel, remove all plastic from kick panel to ceiling then run your wire up and across.

This is for only one side, since you also have a whatchamacallit (diplexor? <--I gave up looking for that POS) that combines both left and right antennas to the CB and AM/FM stereo.

 

yeah. I wanted to replace both sides.
I've done the single mirror to the dash board before, but, not overhead where the cb is in this truck.
