I wonder if loads are down everywhere, or if Swift is just losing market share??? -
Most of the loads I'm getting sent in Lancaster are less than 300 miles, they even sent me one last night with a 265 mile deadhead to Houston to live load a trip.
-
Do not feel bad. Not too long ago they actually sent me a trailer solution to go to Houston for a mt and then back to Lancaster
-
I wonder if Swift does not have problems with customer service failures??? Maybe the business is going to other carriers? -
That might be.
I've been at receivers and been told... "Wow, you are actually on time for a change". -
I just turned my truck in last week at Rochelle. I picked up the last load about 20 hours late because the first driver quit at the shipper the night before and abandoned his truck right there!!! It was not the first load that I had to pick up too late to make the appointment time. It just makes me wonder if their customers haven't had enough. It may be due to the high percentage of new, inexperienced drivers??

Do you really want to open that can of worms?
Do I?
I've been banned a couple times for this.
The grammar and spelling cop.
Your handle isn't exactly correct in that regard, but it is - in meaning and intent, and pronunciation if one disregards one or two little things. -
OK, it went right over my head.

Very good point.
But a lot of that is due to very poor training.
The mentors don't seem to teach how to to do the job the most efficient way, but only the quickest way.
That leaves the new drivers struggling with time schedules that they can not meet.
Running those max hours that you possibly can in a day does not (seldom does) result in the best overall performance.
The premise of Plus1 planning, that the computer knows best, is the downfall of many drivers.
People have to THINK for themselves.
They have to figure out the details of what the next load actually requires and what they require in the mean time.
That doesn't seem to be taught in the right way.
