Agreed, i've been trying to hire on in las vegas, every time i go in to office, the lady that takes apps is always busy multi-tasking, she does more than take apps, looks like, but takes the time to find out whats going on with your process.......i don't check "every 2 days".....but perhaps i'll be a bit more persistent, good advice.....thankz

Did you get hired yet? I've been playing the waiting game myself.

Gotta question. I have an interview lined up for 4/11. What happens next after interview, if all goes well? If he is happy with me, will he send me on a drugscreen that day? Any info on what to expect after interview would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

They had me go to ,Sterling background check, once on there website "sterlings" all I did was sign consent forms. Is that about it ? I just want to make sure I didn't miss something.
    Thank you!

that's what I did yesterday! I signed all my forms, with sterlings, and within 8 hours they had 6 of 9 processes completed.....I don't have any criminal record whatsoever, so guessing they just need to verify my current employer(4 years) and I should be good to go. From what recruiting told me, yesterday, you can go on the sterlings website and login and see what the process of everything is.

Does Estes Express pay their clerks or dispatchers decent wages?

They used to. I heard they started a new pay scale for the new hires.. Not 100% on this but I heard it went down in the teens for an hourly rate. They concentrate on their drivers.

I dont know about right now, but about 3 years ago they paid the clerks (in Des Moines) 12 something an hour... So that would be a "no" on the clerks. I have no idea what the dispatchers make. I was a driver there. Probably the best company I ever worked for when it comes to taking care of the drivers (for the most part, there were some terminals that werent all that great - like West Sex, PA and Salt Lake City). I left because they had me running Mpls to Chicago to Elgin to Chicago to Lincolnshire to Chicago (all in 1 day) WAY too many times. My shoulders were giving out from all the hooks and breaks (not to mention sitting in Chicago morning traffic all the time). If you can stay away from the clean-up runs and east coast, its great.
