My husband on April fool's day was traveling in the left lane with his cruise on and not speeding. He was traveling on 81 south in PA when a trooper got on the interstate behind him. The trooper then changed lanes and got directly behind my husband and hit the lights. Not knowing what he had done he proceeded to pull over. The trooper said he was not allowed in that lane. My husband said he didn't kniw that there were no signs stating that. The trooper then asked for his medical card. Seeing it was only good for one year he made the comment "What do you have diabetes or something". My husband explained no and told him high blood pressure. Then the trooper asked for his medicine. Then the trooper called a level 3 inspection but after 45 minutes couldn't find anything so he wrote him a ticket for unlawful activities using code section 4107. Then the ticket was full of mistakes. There was no business company name on it. The ticket had the vehicle as an International Harvester with the style of a tow truck and the trailer had the style as a station wagon. Then the location just has 81 south 2264 feet west from unnamed street, well that doesn't give an exact location. I called our lawyer as we are from VA and he said there is nothing he can do so I contacted a lawyer there and he acted like there wasn't much to use to fight it but he would call me back. I'm like what? He didn't do anything. We don't want this on his CSA. Help! What can we do?
PA Citation seems bogus

If it was the left lane of a 3 lane road, then he was in violation.

"Keep right except to pass" and "Slower traffic keep right" signs are all up and down the interstates of the US. It's common courtesy, but in some states it is the law. If he was just cruising in the left lane, that may have been the reason for getting pulled over.
TequilaSunrise, CJndaTruck, Pedigreed Bulldog and 1 other person Thank this. -
The area on 81 with lane restrictions in pa is around mile marker 69 to 59 going north or south

Looking through the code, I don't know that this would be applicable, though. Must've been something else.
