Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't really have "dedicated" routes except for maybe the local guys who run from the Owens plant in Lexington to the Eden brewery. The Miller brewery in Eden is closing in September, so there's a pretty big possibility that it will affect the Eden terminal.

That's good. If I was to make an educated guess (and I'll openly admit that this is unfounded and merely my own thought) I'd say we're going to shift focus in that area from Eden to Elkton, Virginia once the Eden brewery shuts down. That still leaves you in the basic area.

I'm in Roanoke, too. Are you a new driver? What do you know about Millis...pay, home time, areas they run etc?

I start in June.... They are good company decent pay if you regional you will be home most weekends you don't get paid while in class.. It's a $100 deposit 400 when you get there you get a room to yourself it's a small class 6-8 people max you get paid while you train in the truck make sure you track your miles tho to make sure you get paid and make sure you get at least 200 miles a day to make sure you get the minimum pay its up to $600 a week that's gross not net... If you don't get your backing down they will send you home.... Once your trainer feels you ready after a couple weeks you will test out get your own rig

Once you've been with Millis a year, you can get out and get a job at a better company. Keep in mind, there are many posts on this forum of Millis being a little too enthusiastic about dinging drivers daq reports.

With the camera staring at you all day watching everything. Millis reports everything (even non-preventables) on daq. Poly trucking reports nothing on daq. Poly doesn't wanna screw people.

    Opus and FLYMIKEXL Thank this.
