SFI question

Did they call you back yet? Waiting on a call myself..

 

Yea they called. Got a conditional offer from SNI. Only problem....SFI wouldn't even consider me for a lease due to the fact all of my experience is tanker regional not OTR. I'm choosing to step back from tank and go OTR.

Get this, SFI wants 6 months OTR with SNI; or 12 months OTR with another company. That is completely different requirements than SNI is advertising. They are advertising that you only need 6 months of CDL driving time.

So until I can find a lease(bad credit) truck, I can't work the choice program. I have always been told that company driver-OTR mileage pay is beginner/entry level experience. The tanker company I worked for requires 12 months full time CDL experience before you can yank a tank. I KNEW someone in the company so I got special exception and full training once I got my CDL.

I'm frustrated. Let me know what your status is.

 

That sucks man. Try leasing through another outfit like Lone Mountain or Arrow. I have a feeling they won't call me for awhile because I want to bring my own truck over.

 

@Scott72 I do know they have some kind of waiting list right now but also depending on who your recruiter is some respond quick and some take a very long time to respond like minded and getting back to phone calls and stuff... Just hang in there you'll eventually get on board

 

Are you leasing your truck now? Do you recommend lease purchase?

Yea I'll be patient. My gig at Roehl isn't awful, but I know I can do better at SNI. If it takes a few months I'm ok with that.
