They're different. Regional trucks are shorter. I think You lose fridges, tv, etc. Not 100% sure though. Never seen inside a regional truck.

Regional trucks are smaller. No cabinets in the bunks. We can scale a 50,000 lb load were an otr truck can scale about 46,000 lb iirc. We get a plug in cooler instead of a fridge but the new regional t680s have a small drawer fridge under the bunk. New trucks also have Directv with flat screens.FLYMIKEXL Thanks this.

Oh and all new trucks have automatics.
-
Do new grads get the automatics?
-
I guess the cooler will work the no cabinets is gonna suck too I need to be more alert on where I can store things
-
It's not bad. With being home every weekend you don't need as much stuff in the truck. There is storage. Just no cabinets. When you are in class check out one of the regional trucks.firemedic2816 and FLYMIKEXL Thank this.

16 yrs with Millis. I was in the group of 10% of the drivers who walked out when the cameras went in.
I quit after the cameras went in and they started lying about when they turn on. They can watch and listen live, even though they say they don't.
As far as dinging your daq report, I'm agreeing with the other drivers who've reported that through these Millis topics on this forum board.
Train with Millis, and stay just long enough to get a driving job somewhere better. Walmart requires 3 yrs. Poly and others require 1 yr experience.
Spend that year checking out better companies.Last edited: Apr 11, 2016

Regional trucks .... They only have 1 tank so you're filling up twice a day and having to log it. The truck is shorter, lighter and bounces alot more. No fridge. Can pull 51,000 though. Tighter turning radius.
