Says the hobby trucker. I would be a rah rah guy too, if I was as in deep as you and wife is to Bill. Do you think you'll ever get paid back?

rickybobby, spyder7723 and BigBadBill Thank this. -
Yep. I've been here 3 years but Bill swears it's been longer. He laid out what every truck needs to make in order to get back on track, and I've been doing my best to meet that goal. I took a two week vacation a few weeks after that and told Lauren to just hold onto my paycheck before that and just take my fixed costs out of that so they weren't saddled with it while I was gone. I've got my truck paid off and live a simple life so I'd run a load or two to keep my bank statement level, but now I'm back out here breaking 2000 miles a week to help F2F get along to greener pastures. I wish I'd asked what that magic number was sooner to keep us out of this mess.rachi, BigBadBill, NoCoCraig and 2 others Thank this.

I don't know anything about Bill or his company other than what I have read on this forum. But, having owned businesses for many years, I can tell you that things don't always run smoothly. There always seem to be fires that need to be put out, especially if you have employees and you are trying to grow a business. Sometimes, the owner of the business is the last to be paid in order to make sure everyone gets their money and the doors stay open. Being in business is not always easy. It can be complicated when there are health issues. It sounds to me as though Bill is trying to do what is necessary to keep the business going and to see that the bills are getting paid. I don't believe in kicking someone when they are down. I believe in giving people the benefit of a doubt until proven otherwise. This is a tough business. Many fail. Sometimes, things happen that are out of your control. But, you do the best you can and hope for the best. I wish Bill and everyone involved the very best.

Ok I have to ask, how does a company that takes 20% from owner ops, "fall behind"? Broker or shipper stiff you on a big invoice?
