Officers in botched raid get medals

Well its not the swat teams fault they simply was doing thier job.. Sure it sucks, they simply come to work and get a briefing and are told we are raiding a house.. They suit up and go raid it, they should be awarded for thier bravery. The cops who did the pre intel investigation leading up to the swat going in are to blame, they had poor intel and they should of verified it before "having swat go in" that's not the swat teams job to verify, that the investigators job...

Making the swat members out to be bad guys in this matter is ignorant. Now if the investigators received medals then I would be furious..

 

I would have them be upset at the investigators not SWAT, as I stated.. I would be more understanding that these men had nothing to do with leading up to entering the house..

 

I totally agree with TruckerJO here. The SWAT team was just doing their job. Now the investigators, and most certainly the confidential informant should come under some major fire for this one. For the SWAT guys, they're trained to follow orders and go on the information they're given. It's up the the people that supply that information and orders to check and double check that tips from CI's are legit.
