The biggest problem we have with a loader small lifting trench boxes is the forks not being long enough. A 10 X 10 6" wall with water in it can be pretty heavy though.

Ran into this a time or two. Aside from the lowboying, when I wasn't moving heavy equipment I'd move lots of general jobsite stuff, precast, trench-boxes, etc.
One particular day I had on a set of 8x20 trench boxes. The loader had enough spit to lift the weight, but, they were only four-foot forks and he couldn't do much to keep them on. After watching him try about 3 times and almost damaging the deck I told him to stop. I got my 20-foot 3/8 chains out and choked them on the picking eyes at each corner. It put the boxes at an angle on the forks but kept them on there.
I'm of the opinion any seasoned lowboy or flatbedder should know some basic rigging, as well. Sure, 3/8 transport or even 1/2 inch transport chains may not be rated as "lifting chains", but, sometimes you don't have a choice and work with what you have available. -
Another trick I use especially if I'm alone I put something heavy on the box, plate, or whatever I'm lifting then it'll keep the box from tipping.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
They were doubled up in our case. Although we had a pipe clamp attachment that worked great for holding it so it wouldn't tip.

Only about 40k and 9'6" wide so no flagging.... Yahoo.

The big M? This the outfit with the red and white trucks? The one who practically owns a stake in almost every trucking company related to oversize and specialized hauling in western/northern Canada?

Not almost, but many, yes.

Should your sign at the back not be more visible???
I can't believe all this RGN trailers don't come from the factory with a way to properly mount the signs... You'd think they would do that considering what they are mostly used for...
