Ok. I'm on way to that wedding so I'll be out of pocket until tomorrow. Thanks again for the info

you can put an acert pump on if you want. but you also have to change the outer thermostat housing along with the propeller backing plate and oil cooler neck. also you may have to modify your alt bracket if it is like mine.

I was wrong on the mbn and meant mxs on the water pump and have the housings on the way. I'm getting everything bolted up on the front structure and have to go get the right rod bearings. (I was sold the wrong ones and I'm assuming they were for a 3406e)

Ok my pic didn't come through on the at bracket. I'll try again.

I was gonna say something about that but I'm a little ways from it to worry about that.

Pistons are in and everything is torqued on the bottom side. I plan on getting the head put on and oil pump and pan later tonight

Hey @Tmtbob if they did it right and everthing true. With the thick spacerplate you will be at .003 and .006 with the thinner plate. If you opt for .006 use an anarobic sealant on the tin gasket along the edge all the way around. Yeah i know they say to not put anything on the tin gasket. But cat actually sells the sealant for doing just that. If you don't and there is the slightest unevenness on the block deck or spacerplate or head you will have seapage.
