Oh and apply the sealant very, very, very lightly!

    #### I wish I knew all the stuff you guys do.

I would have no problem tearing down and building back up a motor, probably just wouldn't hold together long.

Did do a head gasket on a 466ci Deere once. Twice

Yes I'll be checking protrusion. I didn't know they had 2 different plates and always looked for .06 in the past. Block was decked so all should be good. Even though last time that shop cut my counterbores they were uneven. They made it right with me no questions asked.

I'll try the sealant your talking about. I've never used anything on either one before. Heard some guys suggest some high temp copper on the head gasket but never thought it was necessary if it's all right. What do you suggest.

Using the thinner spacerplate with a decked block and head along with a true spacerplate and true liner flanges. You won't have to do counterbore cuts.

Yeah I know on the counterbores. That was the block with the busted main bolt. Maybe I haven't said that. That was my 6ts I had them cut counterbores in last time I overhauled it and they had to come up twice to get it right but this time I had the spare 5ek I stripped and took to them to go over and deck.

Ok I'm tired of setting times on this on when to be done because I haven't met any of my goals so to hell with it. It's gonna be done right. Liners are from 004 to 005 and I'm ready to put the head on. Got the rest of my water pump housing in and I'll also try to get that done tonight.

Head is sitting in place and ready to be torqued down now. Noticed a bad spot on my cam and had to swap it out. Didnt feel like pulling a head off again because it came apart. Also gonna have to check rocker arm to make sure it's not showing anything. Tomorrow I'll torque it and put injectors and rockers on then run overhead. Have to get a discharge tube o ring then the pan is ready to go on also. I'll post more pics tomorrow but here is the bad spot on number 6 injector lobe. image.jpeg
