Yes, that's the remnant of an old plastic mudflap. Have a piece of gorilla clear double sided mounting tape under it for good measure. Now I can use this antenna in high wind conditions with confidence. The 102 as well.

What is the RK with electro voice?

RK56 has an audio/impedance matching transformer which is a critical part needed for best performance with my Electro-Voice 602 series microphones. It matches the 150 ohm element to the 600 ohm input of the radio
