To say the least but I didn't want to get to over dramatic about it. I think I spit my coffee out the first time I read the ad. Plus you have the added bonus of the qualcomm thingy in your truck. Wonder if they charge you for inward facing cameras and reflective seat belts also. I figured by the time the thread was dead they would get the message.

I was looking more at the percentage honestly. (76%).... Talked to one of their drivers today running with her own authority and she told me she made $5-6K week solo after expenses and I'm just trying to see how true it is and if we'd make double or more as a team...

As a power only, 82% or $1.26 a loaded mile ( both will be close to the same )
so running 3500 miles at $1.26 = $4410.00 before fuel or anything else out.
As a solo I'm not sure of her claim of $5 - 6 a week after expenses. Just sayin ...

I'm not saying your friend is not making that, BUT i would want to see at least a couple of months worth of settlements before I'd even consider signing on.

I can't count how many drivers swear they are clearing $4,000/wk but forget to tell you that the week before they only cleared $1200 because they forget to get their paperwork in before payroll cutoff and how they have a nice check to brag about. But when you ask to see a couple of months of settlements, the excuses start flying.

I've always considered getting my own authority & mc#, but unless i'm going completely independant or there is a specific reason to do so, there are only additional headaches which you need to be paid for. Considering the cost of maint, fuel on truck & reefer trailer, hard costs, your paycheck, Freymiller taking 18% doesn't sound like a winning program.

I'm sure there are Reefer companies paying more and your under their MC # and insurance.

Try Interstate, I know they have one for company drivers, not sure if they do for IC's.

That story is so unbelievable that you really need to look at this bridge i have for sale.

Think about it for a minute. If frey miller can provide loads that will have a truck profiting a quarter of a million dollars a year, why would they not buy more trucks and keep that profit.
