Have you been pulling a spread axle flatbed? If so will you use your uncle's tractor and trailer for the test? If you switch to a standard tandem the backing in the skills test may react differently.BiH Thanks this.

I pretty much learned the same way with my uncle, but not otr. I passed the pretrip and parking the first try. Then I got THREE automatic failures on the road test. It was shifting through intersections, shifting while turning.... oh and running a yellowish red light (I did it with a trailer with 40,000lbs, and the approach to the light was downhill).
Passed the road test easily the second time once I knew the rules and came with an empty trailer.
(Don't go with a loaded trailer they weren't supposed to let me do the test with it, but my uncle was out of empties the day off my test)BiH Thanks this. -
I never said a word on my Skills or Road test and passed.

Ive goten lots of help on this forum. Im sure others will be along sooner or later. Another thing is Im sure you have alot more driving time than most students so just try to relax. if you make a mistake and see him writing dont worry you can make some mistakes. Theres lots of youtube videos on passing a pretrip and what they want to see. One test drive I took for a company the guy said "I didnt feel like jumping out once, so you pass."BiH Thanks this.

Always do 5 under the posted speed in town and slow 5-10 under when approaching a light, until the point when you know youll be going through even if it changes.BiH Thanks this.
