    Yea I guess I'm blessed. to have someone who was willing to teach me the ins and outs of the whole business...basically have The truck to myself to learn the pre trip and have enough time to drive...I've been with him for a whole year learning, wasn't trying to rush into anything...still nervous tho about the test..lol

    I lived in Houston for 20 years but I'm in North Carolina right now, so I'm #### out of luck with that one lol

    What about downshifting...before coming to a light...should I downshift 10-9-8-7-6 or can I skip gears??

    Dont over do it. Just show him a couple downshifts and youll be fine. Just dont coast in neutral more than, I think, ten seconds. So if youre coming to a stop maybe brake to 35 downshift to 8th then brake to a stop, pressing the clutch when it starts chugging and shift into 3rd reasonably quickly as your coming to a stop. The 3rd gear isnt really a downshift it just puts you in a gear. And you can skip shift or whatever youre comfortable doing.
