Hey guys hope you can help me out. I have a 2012 Volvo with the d13 engine in it and while my student was driving this morning a check engine light came on and the diagnostics feature in the dash is saying its engine fault spn 4752 fmi 7. I went through all the sites I could find to try to figure out what the code means but I haven't been able to find anything. If you guys could help I would greatly appreciate it.

it sounds like the delta p sensor and the venturi pipe are sooted up and or clogged. there is a updated sensor and pipe that can be installed as well. make sure they run a complete regen as well after the repair is complete.

Passenger side, front above the coolant filter. Cost to replace etc is about 1500 to 2000. Had mine done last year. If it is clogged consider getting your egr cleaned as well, cost around 300.00 or you might need to replace your egr at some point in the future which costs around 5000.00 or so.

The updated Venturi kit cost about 500 and change. Wow 1500 to 2k for a somewhat simple install. Unless it's not so.simple.

I am not sure about the simple install(with volvo sometimes nothing is simple). But you have to make sure it is working and only volvo shops have the software to test and update the sensor package and clear the codes. The price is canadian and it was done last year, I might have had something else done.

I usually let volvo do the repairs when it involves the sensors and or the computer. The cost might be higher but it is better than screwing it up and paying twice.

I get what your saying Rob. I am pretty sure the updated sensor just drops in on the new Venturi tube and doesn't need the Vcad .

Looking at mine I see 2 claps the temperature probe and a couple of screws and off it comes.

For me I would attempt to do the updated kit myself to save money. I currently have the old tube and sensor.
