Turns out they are ex maverick trucks painted white. They have around 700,000 miles but hours are high due to lots of idling. They all passed cutout tests and two had vnt codes. The one I drove had egr issues. All three had very little blowby.

If I could make the interior work I'd buy all three but only for the right price. I was planning on ripping the interiors apart anyways.

And it does make sense they were used locally. Precious owner was sumter and they do tanker stuff plus local stuff. One of the trucks came in with a long fuel tank with a hydraulic comparment.

All depends on how they are spec'd. My 2013 Columbia glider has 530K miles on it now, and it is still in very good shape, both inside and out. No cracked dash, nothing falling apart. Not a rattle trap. And it gets beat up in the Milwaukee/Chicago/Detroit neck of the woods weekly. Typical fleet spec Columbia's leave lot to be desired. Custom order Columbia's that are spec'd properly are as good as any other truck. Sure, I have had the occasional screw working loose, but a quick tighten up and no problem. Quiet enough that I can hear a finger run up a guitar string on a jazz song while rolling down the highway. I ordered the premium noise abatement insulation package and the premium arctic insulation package. Nice woodgrain dash and trim throughout and regular chrome bezel gauges for everything just like any other quality truck.

I just purchased a nice 2006 columbia studio sleeper,, with 900k on the clock,, it has a new Detroit 60 500hp, with a new clutchand very well maintained service schedule, the 12spd freedomline automatic is nice.. 3.55 gears.. the interior is worn-out a bit, but nothing some patients and new parts cant fix, since the Columbia, Centry and Coronado all used the same dash setup,, yes my cabinets were cheapest i have seen, but i didnt care. Because they all got torn out,, because I am slowly going to make the bunk area into how i want it done with help from dad and my boyfriend, we are going to fully line the entire cab with a sound deadening thermal insulation. And the bunk is getting expanded to fit a full size memory foam cooling gel mattress, and custom cabinets built from the roof down about half way, to mount my microwave, and my coffee pot.. we torn out the original rear bunk heater that used engine coolant for heat... and installed a direct fuel fire bunk heater... on the exterior, she is clean pain is a little faded and worn,, she is your typical fleet truck white, the baseline color.. that im gonna have redone with a metallic white pearl,, and already just got my stainless 18" windshield visor, 22" front drop bumper, a new set of protector headlights,,, a new stainless grill assembly and stainless bug deflector, i loves my mirrors, and my boyfriend pulled the side skirts off to expose those 150 gal tanks, that we had polished and seal coated, just put new stainless tank straps on, and step rails.. mind you i bought the truck for 27k, and got all my parts from the dealer that my boyfriend works at so I got everything at dealer cost.. lucky me right.. all in all. You cant go wrong with a good used truck thats build to work and make it your own and enjoy it for hundreds of thousands of miles of hard working enjoyment... next upgrade is 10 new polished and sealed aluminum wheels since my truck has dull aluminum fronts and 8 steel on the back.. and I want to rid of the single stack for a set of twin stacks preferably 7inch stainless bull horns that will poke out slightly behind the cab wing skirts... yeah who fixes and custom does a columbia this chick because thats what i wanted,, and I get what I want... so yeah don't be all thinking a 9 plus older truck is gonna look new inside and not need some TLC, cause your looking for a unicorn then,, unless your buying a Kenny or a Pete and paying big bucks for that sweet looking rid. I love my Detroit 60 14L is all stock until she hits 100k on the new engine,, then the simple upgrade exhaust manifold, and bully dog tuner is all its getting just to smooth out the power and stay reliable...

O and blow by. Yeah my new engine with now only 58k on it has had crank case blow by since the day it first fired up, its a Detroit 60 thing im told,,, The EGR system is original just it was steam cleaned and new seals and a new sensor was used. Works great. Need for those pesky EPA rules or my boyfriend would have torn it all out,
