I'm certain the drugs you take are in a database somewhere. But as it is a medical issue, I don't think that any company you work for is able to access them. Doctor patient confidentiality and all of that. BUT, if they happen to come across it, like if you go in and have your truck fixed and they see a bottle of pills somewhere, the maintenance guys may report it and then you'll have some explaining to do. Truth and honesty is always your best bet. That way you cover your butt.

Doctors report all prescription drug use to a central database.
Well, I'm not sure if it is just one central database, but it will be in one. Many of those are linked together.
Rather like many DMV databases are linked today so they can view your entire related history in one glance.

Since the DMV is now requiring the medical information as well, they would likely have access to all the medical records as well.
Cross-linking those files would show the cases of people being prescribed drugs that didn't report them.
If that happened they would simply revoke your CDL.

Is it worth taking a chance, in any case?

I'm gonna get my pressure low enough to pass that test it's a minor setback I just wanted to know what are the numbers they are looking for. From my understanding its ideal to be under 140/90. I lose another 20 pounds before I head in and keep eating clean I can drop my current reading 20-25 points.

State DMVs can't access your medical records and neither can employers

Wrong. It's not accessible by ANYONE without your consent.

I took 20mg oxycodone IR/6X day for 5 years. Had 2 Dr's.that said I was fine to drive a CMV.
I'm one of the 20% it does not make drowsy. No one knew that I didn't want to know. I did tell the DR. giving my DOT physicals. Not that I HAD to. No one else's business. He didn't even put it in my file.

Under the new forms for your DOT Phy. you have to list all meds you are taking. Just took mine 3 weeks ago.
Plus any and all surgeries you have had. Also list why the surgery was done...
I'm on blood pressure meds, plus a few other meds. since I had my heart attack. I now have a 1 year card. No biggie
