Yeah but there's no requirement for you to tell the truth. And since it's all confidential, good luck proving you lied. Just another way for the industry to stick their nose into your personal business where it doesn't belong. Why is it necessary for the DOT to know that I had my tubes tied? There comes a point in life where you have to stand up and say "no". I'm not following these insane rules that say I have to divulge information which is of no benefit to my employer and is of no harm to them as well. Kind of like the company policy of having weapons in your truck. None of their business. My personal safety is my business. And if I'm operating your equipment that takes me into cities that are over run by bi-pedaled animals, it is not your place to say I can't defend myself. All of this insanity is perpetuated by the insurance companies. It's not the government. Or the illuminati. Or any other secret crap that rules this world. It's the freaking insurance companies. Screw them. Last time I checked, we still live in a free nation. It's time we start remembering that. And deal with the consequences if needs be for not following this insanity.

Did they use a machine to take your pressure, was it a nurse or medical tech? Did they use the proper size BP cuff for your arm? Too small can give a false high.
BP is considered high at 160/90, yes you are as close as you can get but you are not technically considered high BP.
It's your life and your body, consider a second opinion after you loose some more belly weight and work at increasing your cardiovascular strength.
No caffeine before a BP is taken!FLYMIKEXL Thanks this. -

I have borderline high blood pressure but in the past month it went down some. I was 144/93 range now i checked the other day 132/82 but i only go to those free health machines in the pharmacies not accurate i know. Anyway what i did was eat several bananas nearly every day for over a month and i ground flax seed in my meals and drank more water. I also shoot hoops on occassion and do it for at least and hour. I'm 6'3 224 pounds.

We live under the rule of law, and under the law of rules.
We may have more freedoms than many other countries, but we are not free to do as we wish or make our own rules. -

Doctors do NOT report all prescriptions to databases, only controlled substances in the states that keep a database. And before someone gets all ate up with verbosity there is NO federal drug database. Also one more point. Never ever tell a medical examiner you are on blood pressure meds especially if you read high. It means you have out of control blood pressure and a by the book examiner will fail you on the spot. Don't believe me? Ask one ! LOOK at the form what the examiner is to do about re-certification if the blood pressure is still high. You are flirting with losing your physical (and your job) for life.
