What happened
-
I used a 6nz cam gear and the 40 pin ECM wouldn't read it for starters. Never could get it to start and Work slowed down for the time being and I'm not rushed anymore but still need to get it going.

That sucks man
-
Yeah but not a big deal. I spent all week changing things over for the different water pump and just getting it right. Or how I think it should be anyway so this isn't that bad

Ok it's up and running. Sounds good and I only drive it 10 miles bobtail and from what I feel it runs good. Feels like it has faster acceleration than it did before but I'll know more in a day or so on how it actually runs. I was surprised on how fast it took off when I started cranking it. Acted like I shut it off yesterday and just purred. I made a rookie mistake that cost me a couple extra days but that's all. When I assembled the front gears I never lined up my marks on the crank and bull gear. I thought about it but also thought I'll pin the flywheel then line up the cam and never looked back. That was a stupid mistake that could of cost me a head and piston or Pistons. Luckily I made the mistake of using the 6nz cam gear that never let it start and I spent 2 days trying to get it going. I had it running on either for a few seconds here and there but couldn't get the throttle to go. After talking to superhauler about it I mentioned the cam gear I used and he knew right away why it wouldn't run. He also asked if I lined up my gear marks and opened my eyes to how important it was. Duh I knew better but at the same time I'll never make that mistake again cause I had to pull the structure back off. Lesson learned that could of cost a lot more money. When I first started tearing into it again the cam was half a tooth off from where it should of been just by cranking on it. Probably wouldn't of made it a day without going boom again. Thanks for the help guys and if anyone has any questions on this feel free to ask. If I can't answer them superhauler and smokin I'm sure can
