I moved to Roanoke, VA. I just got the tags for my personal vehicle and they made me pay taxes (or what I assumed was personal property taxes) when I went to switch my license from NJ and get tags, registration, etc...I was thinking of going through Freymiller for a while and just using my authority and their trailer until I get my own.

Good question. I was gonna ask the same.

OOIDA does not insure you unless you have at least 4 years of experience. FYI for folks like me who didn't wait that long after getting a truck to look at gettting your own authority. I agree that you need to let your lanes determine your insurance quote and not the other way around. Where I live in the Midwest, it doesn't make sense for me to pay higher insurance for rates that don't pay great.
If I were running the NE I would want to do lots of intra-region stuff before heading back because there is usually an excess of trucks wanting loads back out so your rates are poor.NJ LADYTRUCKER Thanks this. -
I actually have been driving 9 years next month and my hubby has 4 years. We moved from NJ down to VA a few months back so hopefully we won't go through this. We have already bought policy from OOIDA.crazyk Thanks this.

Had to. Took me about a month to get everything hashed out. It was either that or pay someone to move it for me..
