You missed the point in my post. In the past month I've had 97 dropped calls. I've talked to Verizon customer service both on the phone and in my local store about the issues. Verizon claims it's my refurbished phone which I have had problems with since I received it. They refuse to give me an early upgrade and also refuse to take some money off my ridiculous bill every month even after all the dropped calls.

I'm not saying I'm never going to have a dropped call it happens. My problem is if the phone is defective send me a new phone which is apparently not allowed per verizon policy. I've been a customer for 10+ years going back to when it was still alltel. Never had this many dropped calls. Bill always paid on time. Loyal customer at that.

When it begins costing me revenue I begin to get frustrated. So the last conversation I has with a customer service representative went like this send me a new phone or I'm not paying the bill. This is getting old really quick. No mind you this is the 10th refubished piece of junk I've had since September of 14 when I signed my new contract.

Now then do you see a problem with product and service there or is it just me? Considering I'm now paying $15/month for a phone under their new plan setup that is refurbished it seems as though at least 15 a month should come off the bill does it not?

I mean would you pay $2.40/gallon for refurbished diesel if it existed? Or if a fuel stop had diesel that was in the ground for 4 years would you pay them 2.30/gallon for it?

That's a stretch but it's the same concept is it not?

If you really want your day ruined I run with a guy that got his authority at 18 it's not as uncommon as most think it is all depends on who you know.

I've never met one my age before. He'd be stuck running intrastate under 21 legally anyways.

I got my authority at 20 I'm not much older than you are got a few years on you but not many there's a lot more of us out here than most would think. Seems to be the norm in the exempt world least in my neck of the woods.

We ran across state lines it's about being smart if you drive normal and sensible they don't mess with you. Hell I've never bought a permit to run the big road and never been messed couple times I was about 94 so I was 14000 over gross on what they allowed but like I said drive normal and they don't mess with you.

I'm like you DOT magnet always have been a DOT magnet if I'm not hooked to a hopper I'm hooked to a jump dry van that has lights out and if I'm not hooked to a van I'm hooked to a cow wagon never had a chance.

Friend that's been at it since 18 doesn't cross a line much any more. He's spoiled rotten. Runs 120 miles round trip pays 25.5/bu 4 loads a day. Home every night gets a check cut as soon as they get the bills literally on the spot.

Yea he's spoiled but like I said it's not what you know it's who you know. He's got a couple gigs that I'd kill for but I'm not exactly a popular kid in that group. My low tolerance for ######## screwed that up.

On the phone I didn't buy a refurb. I bought a new one about a week later it would get so hot on the charger I was worried about it catching fire. I took it in layed it on the counter with a charger and showed the salesman he said it was defective so they called customer service and I was informed I could only get a refurb from Samsung. I have the S4 which isn't made anymore so the only choice I have is a refurb or an upgrade. I can't upgrade as my 2 years isn't up yet so refurb it is.

It's the nature of the beast I guess. I live in a town of about 12000 people the local verizon is actually a 3rd party store or whatever so it makes it rough getting much done. The closest actual store is 40 miles away and working 530am to 730 or 8 at night makes it tough to get in there other than on a weekend and right now those are pretty well spent wreching on either a truck or a trailer.

It is what it is when they shut my phone off I'll pay the bill and have it turned back on. I won't be happy about it but it's what will get done. It's like any monopoly when you have the market people are stuck with you.

It's like the insurance I have on my phones last one before I bought the S4 got backed over I was charged 10 a month for insurance and the insurance covers accidental damage...running over a phone with a semi isn't considered accidental damage according to my Verizon store...but throwing it against the wall is.

And your right its who you know. I'm lucky enough to have grown up on and around large farms and its a tight knit community. Also worked a a large elevator in the area. I'm definitely blessed.

First year was ~$8,000 for $1m liability, 100k cargo, no gl, no physical damage. Insured by a risk retention group that some brokers didn't accept...

For year 3, I got a quote as low as $6,100 for $1m liability, $1m GL, $100k cargo, no physical damage. From an AM best A (or better) insurer.

good credit, zero moving violations, top 33% CSA scores, no cargo claims, etc
