You can use it to make money when you're parked at a truck stop and it would end up paying for itself over a period of time.

Milwaukee 18v cordless. With the big battery it lasts about 20 minutes.

Company drivers I recommend the Dirt Devil handheld for owner-operators I have the ultimate solution without wasting Precious Cargo space underneath the bunk. I know a way you can have industrial-strength vacuum without wasting too much space underneath the bunk but it involves some fabrication

if you mount one of these 2 Stage Vacuum Motors underneath your bunk and hard wire it to your inverter with a switch
Some creative Plumbing would take up very little space underneath the bunk[IMG]

That vacuum motor is smaller than you think. My commercial carpet cleaner has 2 of those vacuum Motors in it for twice the suction power. Personally if I had my own truck I would build my own custom made central vacuum system for that truck.

one of those vacuum Motors has about the same suction As the commercial vacuum cleaner at the local car wash. All you gotta do is fabricate your own collection housing to collect the waste from your carpet. You could actually use an old small shop vacuum with a burned-out motor as the collection vessel. All you gotta do is drill a 2 inch hole in the top of it and use a PVC pipe fitting in the hole. From that PVC fitting you run a hose to the input of the vacuum motor wherever you happen to mount it. From the output of the vacuum motor you run another hose down through the floor underneath the bunk for the exhaust and all the dust will go below the truck when you run the vacuum. Then you put another PVC fitting on the side of the old shop vacuum and that is where you will attach your hose whenever you want to vacuum. All of the dust and dirt will be sucked into the container and settle to the bottom and you can undo the top of the container and take the bottom part out of the truck and dump it in a dumpster when you are done vacuuming.

I got the same set up. the only thing problem is a filter for it is $20, and i'm on my second filter in 5 years. Over all i would chose it over regular 110v any time
