I lease on to Conway/XPO, so they find my loads, factor my money, reimburse my tolls and trailer expenses, so on. Maybe I could make more with my own Authority, if things work out, and I'm sneaking up on being full independent. I have 5 payments left on my truck, so once that debt is realized might be a good time to make the switch.Right now, I'm feeling glad I've waited to reduce my debt and overhead before taking the plunge.
So I have a question about the contract scam here. If the owner read those contracts thoroughly, wouldn't there be something in there to illustrate a red flag hidden between the lines? Thanks.
OMG the brokers scam again...

No, you just need to use a credit checking company or just use a factoring company, most people dont wana pay the 2%, but in the thousands of loads ive hauled, Ive never lost 1 dollar.
-
For sure right?? Thats the 1st thing I look at....well 2nd thing I look at
is the credit rating and DTP, and if I like the load but dont like the broker I will run it thru My factor and get my money and move on to the next one and let the broker and factor fight it out. But if they have bad credit, or guys are chasing them 70 days out i move along
toomuchntoolittle Thanks this. -

I appreciate your ability to take a joke, and not come back with some crazy response. -
You're one of the few to say that other than myself. I had a LS agent yanking me around about a TONU
I called the shipper who called the original broker and it was a few days and I had my money.
They still clipped like 100 dollars off the money from what the original broker paid.
Woman thought she wasn't going to pay me but got fooled that time. -
I'm wondering about something
No matter if the guy goes out of business or not, he is still in the federal data base and had or has a surety bond company that is supposed to cover the fraud he committed.
So can one go after the guy on a personal level (being the responsible person for the broker) and the bonding company who is supposed to cover his business when that load was arranged? -
As in a civil matter Ridgeline? That's a darn good question that your business attorney should/could answer.
Im assuming NO,
I would simply go after the party responsible for freight charges, FOB, Collect or prepaid, Most customers don't want the Hassle of Judgements (potentially) against them and will pay your invoice and Scold or diffuse any further relationships with that 3pl/broker -
