Here's one that's NOT on this list and should be, JBS Carriers. A warning to folks thinking of going over from another carrier to this one, don't. I was born and raised in southern, CA. I had no training or driving experience in ice and snow, JBS knew this ahead of time and I made certain I reminded my DM constantly of that fact. I got my CDL through Swift last year during the summer and then went over to JBS right around November thinking they were a better company. I was wrong. They insisted I drive into weather I still had no experience in and when I had a few small issues, like a broken fender on a ice pack that I slightly hit trying to back into a dock where a shipping company piled snow and it had hardened, it was of course put on my DAC. I continued to drive on the east coast right into the worst recorded snow/ice patterns in the last few years. I was scared when I literally could not see where I was going by blowing snow flurries, got stuck in mud one night doing the right thing by pulling off into a parking lot to check my map instead of trusting the Nav-go system, cost them a tow out but no equipment was damaged. I never had any major accidents, but had five small private property incidents that eventually got me fired. So, got fired and went back home, and found out JBS had LIED ON MY DAC REPORT, falsely listing two major incidents on my report that NEVER HAPPENED. Consequentially I was denied unemployment benefits and can not get another trucker job because other companies have told me I'm an unsafe driver because of the two things they lied about. I'm in the middle of a dispute with "HireRight" to clear all this up, but the damage is done. EDD has again told me I'm ineligible to receive benefits because they won't look a second time at my dispute with JBS through HireRight. They say I was fired justly even though JBS lied. I know for a fact the only reason JBS lied was to get out of paying Unemployment benefits to me. Now they have recanted their lies but I still can't get benefits. It's the after effect I want to point out here. I have found out I am NOT the only driver to be fired and then got the shaft from JBS after they let them go. Other drivers have been given this treatment from them, not just me. DO NOT BELIEVE JBS, they look good at first but screw you in the end.

Parts of what you say I totally agree with. JBS will put BS on your DAC report because they did I mine too. I was in the sleeper at a truck stop and another driver backed into me. I got all his information reported it and when I quit they put it on my dac as a preventable backing accident. (I was in the sleeper!) the other driver barley hit my truck and I shouldn't of reported it. Just remember who pays Hire Right its JBS not you so of course they will side with who pays the bills. Tons of companies don't use DAC. so don't freak out about hire right. Ok now about snow and ice if you were not sure how to drive in it Shut it Down! Its better then wrecking/damaging a companies asset. I live in Colorado and when the storms hit the biggest problem I see is driving to fast for conditions. JBS was good for me to get my feet wet but.. its defiantly a starter company and they have there issues like any other mega starter company. Good luck hope you find a kick butt company

That is easy to repair your DAC. What you need to do is contact the EEOC and report them for gender discrimination. If they falsely reported two major accidents, then you can challenge them at the EEOC hearing by demanding copies of the police reports. Police reports HAVE TO BE OBTAINED BY THE COMPANY in the event of reportable accidents. Tell them that you will bring this matter to a labor lawyer if they don't clean up the DAC immediately. A sex discrimination suit must go to the EEOC first before you can proceed to sue them in court. Don't let them treat you so poorly just because you are a woman. You don't even need a lawyer at the EEOC. If they don't clean up your DAC after that, go get a labor lawyer as you have an easy cut and dry case.

As a business owner with insurance premiums going up, why would I wait for number 6 !????
Note for the future: As the driver you make the call to shut down in bad weather, no one else controls that.

Sounds like you didn't do any research about JBS Carriers, before you went over there. Did you not check to see where their freight lanes ran, and where their processing plants are located.
And I agree with what "Dryver" said, about not waiting for the 6th small private property incident to happen. JBS obviously tried to work with you, most companies would have terminated you after the 3rd incident.

You busted up a fender "slightly" hitting an ice pack and you had more private property incidents. Maybe, just maybe trucking ain't your gig.....

Sorry to hear about your terrible experience. Really, that was some major stress.
I have to ask, did you not consider that taking an East coast job in the Winter with no experience might be a bad idea?

Maybe 5 "minor" incidents is the equivalent of 2 major incidents?
