Yes it was very easy. Took like 5 min for the app and about 2 weeks for full approval.
I think Sfi will require you to release your truck before they finance the balloon

After the 3 year lease they finance the rest still a weekly payment but no maintenance account.

That fuel pump was under a recall. I got mine fixed for free before it grenades the engine.

Turns out I misheard him. They are having no issues with the 2011-2014 Cummins. It's specifically the 2015 year that they had the issues with. They bought 5 2015's and 3 have blown. I just wanted to clarify.

Mine is a 2012 and had a recall on the fuel pump and that was in late 2015. Ceramic plungers breaking apart and destroying the engine. Changed to stainless steel.

Oh there was a recall, I didn't know that. I was actually looking at upgrading to a newer year but was afraid of the Cummins because of that issue.

That's exactly what's holding me back. I have options on both 2012 freightligners one with a dd15 and one isx 450 the isx has mid 300k miles and the dd15 has 450k on it.
Any input? I have been on the fence for a while now but worried about the Cummings repair bills.

If upgrading to a KW or PB, stay away from the PACCAR motor. Lots of issues. I like my Cummins. No problems other than after treatment system but recall fixed that too.

@tazman74 I'm going to message you privately about your choice.

I just asked my repair shop yesterday the same question and all 3 immediately said Cummins. I was looking at either an ISX w/ 13spd or a DD15 W/ 10spd. If I upgrade, I think I'm going to the ISX because I really like the 13 over a 10.

    tazman74 and Home_on_wheels Thank this.

I hear mostly horror stories about the Paccar motor. Although I am hearing some good things also. I just don't think they have their #### together enough to consider them reliable.
