2 months, and I'm sorry but it is not your fault that someone follows you to closely. I asked that when I was in orientation in Georgia, I asked a Florida state trooper when I worked at the sheriffs office and I asked ODOT about it when I saw one of the officers in a truck stop. They all said the same thing, you can't be held responsible for someone following to close and if you have to hit the brakes or slow down and they hit you that's on them.

And when you been around long enough you will be able to decipher the bs from reality.
Oh and I have only been truckin' for 4 months but been around it all my life so I know how things work when it comes to blame in this industry. -
The out fit I work for have a 2010 pete that has a Lorance unit, it will not shut the truck down but, it will make a heck of a racket. Just a pain in the but if you ask me. May be, back in my out law days it might of came in handy ,,, going from west to the east side in 72 hours I fell a sleep at the wheel many, many times ,,, just waking up in time. Those days are over now,,,,, at least for me. Toker

I know this i an old forum but... My company recently put me in a 2016 Cascadia with safety enhancements. 505 hp with DT12 AMT, Integrated Cruise, etc. The sensor is way too sensitive! It detects bridge, signs, and vehicles in other lanes! At cruising speed of 75mph, (If cruise is on) the truck will apply brakes "hard" as if we are going to collide. When I brought this to the attention of my employer they said "if someone hits you it's not your fault". I am still angry about this stupid comment because my primary concern is safety. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix from Freightliner?

Don't use Cruise Control.
-
You could have them check the radar alignment.
-
They do that though. It's fairly normal for it to do that stuff.
-
It is when they are out of alignment.
