16 TS-1 states that injector replacement is no longer required or permitted for hpfp failure. If it's customer pay we still highly recommend it but under warranty we can't replace them. I'm not sure what their reasoning is, if there is metal in the rail there is metal in the injectors. I can't imagine that injectors are going to last very long.
Check rail pressure bleed off with the fuel injector lines capped off. If it fails there is internal leakage in the pump and it needs replaced. -
how to check rail pressure bleed off? the noise that I have is cyclic and I guess it depends from fuel viscosity/fuel temperature. I think that noise is coming from needle amp return valve. I can hear that noise when engine is idling . at higher rpm the noise disappears.

I tried a jug of Stanadyne Lubrication this week. Large enough jug to do three tanks. Don't know if it's a coincidence but I never noticed my truck doing a regen all week. Maybe I missed it. Normally at the current temps I would have seen two or three for the week. But I didn't notice any.
I use a Scangauge to monitor the DPF, DOC temps and NOx. -
I am experiencing same thing. I had less regens within last 3 weeks. I can't explain why I have less regen but its good. . Looks like Stanadyne Lubrication is really good thing.uncleal13 Thanks this.

Hey @mhyn , I wonder if this guys chart has anything t do with pump failures. Shows U.S. Fuel Lubricity standards are worse than European standards. 520 vs 460. Detroit recommends less than 460. We use Co-op fuel, it's rated at <460, plus Stanadyne can bring it down another 160 points. Looks like there are better products if Lubricity is what we're after.
And certainly a lot of worse ones. -
I am still on stanadyne . I add 4oz every 100 g of fuel. engine runs smooth and less regens I see. what else we can try ? do you consider any other product? say the name and i'll try it.
-
Looks like Optilube summer blend has higher Lubricity and lower cost, but I can't buy it anywhere around Saskatchewan.
Stanadyne I can buy in Saskatoon and yes, my truck seems to like it too. Seems quieter and less regens too.

hello guys. Just updating ..
I am still on stanadyne. 2oz every 50gallons. I had 0 regens since may 20. )))) I run truck between Midwest and cali and usually I have 15-25 k lb in the box.. engine runs smooth like it just came out from factory. Run few times idle balance tests and looks like I have brand new injectors (they have 520k m now).. this f***cken stanadyne is a good product.bossboy2, QUALITYTRUCK and uncleal13 Thank this.
