Ok guys I have 5 years experience running flatbed. To be honest I'm looking to lease a truck and run my own authority. You know finally get out from under the man.........I know. I know it's not that easy.
I've researched and researched and 8th talked to around 70 recruiters over the last week and I've got to say I've narrowed my options down to roadrunner cause of their marine division and ATS because of their good reviews. I was just wondering what you guys thought and who you would perfer. Thanks in advance.
roadrunner or ats???

They both work with where you live? That is the first question I think about because there are great companies that are bad for people because their location and the freight don't match. Also, joining those as an Owner Operator and getting your own Authority as a motor carrier are different coins. Presume you mean the former.

ATS also works well with where I live. And to be honest I just like the way their drivers talk with me. Every one of them seem happy and well paid.
My biggest concern is ending up with a company that I do not want to invest my time in. I love driving and I don't mind the hours and weeks out. But I also expect respect. And I'm thinking that these two companies are Def respected -

Am a current lease operator with ats you will make good money with them the big problem with them is when your lease is up they will rob all the money you have in your maintenance account if you have say $20000 in your maintenance account they are going to use it all and then tell you that you still owed them money I just came off of the one year lease and is looking to leave them because of that you will get rob ask any driver that have finished the lease and turn the truck back in
ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
If you bring YOUR truck to either place you're in good shape because you leave easily if/when they don't live up to their end of the bargain. If you're going to buying the truck from them you're going to get screwed. If you have your own authority you can use both of them as they both have their own brokerages.
