Hey guys, so I looked back 10 pages and couldn't find a similar thread.

Google is coming up with vague answers to similar questions or multiple answers to questions sort of similar.

I've got a Mirage MX-36HP in a 2015 pete 579 with dual perches above the doors. I'm getting absolutely no recieve, no reading on the meter and no indication that anyone is responding.

I can key up and people say they hear me fine, my Tx/Rx light changes correctly and my meter goes up as I put out, but people are telling me they're answering me, and I'm getting nothing.

I've suspected something has been going on for a month or so I would go days without hearing anyone, then one day I would hear people on the radio and could never be quite sure if it was just that less and less people have radios... but it started happening in traffic jams too and I'm baffled...then I got here to laredo for a 34 and I know #### well people are talking and I was getting radio silence....

I tried replacing my antennas, they were the factory ones.... didn't change anything. I'm afraid it's my radio, anyone got any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

Easiest way to check if it's your radio? Ask if someone will let you hookup their spare cb for 5min, and see if you can hear. Another option would be to just buy a new cheap single cb coax for 8$, open your window, hook it to a single antenna and see if you can hear. Either option would let you know if it's your radio or the wiring. CB shop might look at it for free in hopes of getting a sale.

Check your band selector, PA/Radio, +10khz switches and any external speaker.

I have checked all these and even switched them one way and then the other to make sure a switch wasn't acting up. As I said, people can hear me on 19, and my meter isn't showing any recieve.

If any switches you just listed were switched, they wouldn't be able to hear me loud and clear on 19, and if the external speaker was the problem, my meter would show recieve but I wouldn't get any sound. I even unhooked the external to be sure and still nothing

Did you check the wires leading to the speaker? One of those wires may have broken loose or come disconnected

To the external speaker? Yes, I even unplugged it completely and tried using the built in. But again, I'm not showing any Rx signal on my meter at all.

South georgia or central florida... my family lives in ocala, but her family lives in GA. So does some on my dad's side. But we're team, so I'm out west more than anything. Right now I'm in laredo, TX

There's a bunch of shops in the El Paso area I wouldn't recommend them for tuning work but as far as repair jobs it seems pretty straightforward. And then of course if you get through Las Cruces you can listen for Mark Sherman on the radio he's generally on Channel 19
