Yeah I'm getting good miles and they keep me moving. It's little things that could easily be fixed that annoy me.

Some of your issues seem like they are just something you should deal with, or stick it out to see if you just got a string of bad luck.
The pay thing, though, is a deal breaker for me. I can excuse occasional mistakes, payroll folks are human after all, but for pay to just not show up and you can't do anything about it for half a week... No, I'd be gone so fast it would make their heads spin.RookieJ1987 and dwalto Thank this. -
Out of line Thanks this.

If you have an account with Bank of America (their bank) it will post on Friday. The delay comes from you using a different bank. I have worked for them in the past.

Update- I'm still at irt. Things are going pretty good. Actually starting to like it. Getting plenty of miles and not much down time. I think I came in at a bad time. The guy giving orientation was new so I can understand some things being overlooked. As for paystubs.. They mail them.
A really cool thing here is a lot of deadhead, and it pays the same. My longest was almost 1200 miles. About 40% of my miles are dh. I stay out 3 weeks and home 3 days. Dispatch leaves you alone as long as your doing well. Some long unload times but I can usually work a 10 in around it so it often doesn't affect my clock. Had to call maintenance for a repair on the road and they were very responsive. Dispatch watches your hos and assigns loads accordingly. My pay has been right every week. I'm really starting to like it here.xlsdraw, REO6205 and Out of line Thank this. -
Yeah. Doing well here as well. Not bad at all.

You guys running OTR I take it?? I'm looking to start with them also, drove for Aartman back in the day before Ruan bought them and ruined them... I miss tankers...tired of DC's and bumping docks/lumpers! They have a West Coast regional here in Cali, running up n done the 5 which I really do not want to do...wanted some insight on the OTR picks and drops...used to run from Cali to WI, then down to MO and back to Cali...

I am all 48. I've not been here long enough to pick up on the lane patterns, or maybe I am just too dumb lol. Seems like I run a few 600-1100 mile loads in the east, then 2600 - 2800 to CA. From there I am sent to WA and back east. So far I am still averaging 3100 miles a week and sitting around has not been an issue. I don't see much of the Midwest other than passing through, but I am told we have customers there.

I feel you. I don't ever want to drive another van. I sure as hell don't want to see another grocery warehouse. I'm really liking this tanker gig. I am also loving the fact that there is absolutely no micro management here. Reading the reviews of IRT scared me but I had to find out for myself and I am glad I did.
