Stupidity, type of driver. Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with the training offered and they really can be strict about safety. The problem comes with their hiring practices.
Swift as a company will take a chance on a lot of drivers that wouldn't stand a chance at any company, because of this it hurts their reputation. People with multiple accidents, speeding tickets, shady work history, maybe some criminal history even. Swift is willing to give these guys a shot which is what makes Swift as a company really kind of great in a way.
80% of the time it helps get people into the industry where they find success and make something of themselves.
Then the other 20% comes along and gives them the classic Swift reputation.
Of course outside of this "statistic" are the normal drivers who aren't at Swift because it's their second chance, they're just there for the job. The majority of the company is actually of this caliber, good record and character. The name on the truck just happens to be Swift.

Thanks @G13Tomcat !
I ALMOST passed today. Was practically home free. Passed pretrip, range & was ALMOST back from road (a half block away from the school!) Stalled at a light & recovered marvelously. I Got out into the intersection, the light switched to yellow & I panicked.
I cut a bit too hard attempting to get out of the intersection & grazed (I mean just barely tapped) the median. Automatic fail.
The tester said he was pulling for me & really thought I had it in my pocket. I could literally see the entrance to the school.
Oh well, this has boosted my confidence tremendously. Next time I'll just take the point & just go to the middle lane (I had 12/30 points). Dang it! LOL -
