Howdy folks. Just looking for some info on system transport. I work for their biggest competitor and enjoy where i am. But am attracted to the fact that system has a maxi fleet and hires owner ops (which i am not. Yet). My company offers neither. However my company does keep me moving and i make decent money but am just looking for more opportunity.... so im looking for some friendly honest info from drivers there.... you getting miles? Equipment switching over to automatics? Treated like a human? Pay? I could ask a recruiter but i trust drivers more..

Auto trucks are on their way in along with cameras. At least for the company trucks. I work for JJW but we are the same company mor or less.

Typical. Are the miles good that your aware of? Most people there seem happy? Is their lease program legit

starting to put all auto's into the fleet. Cameras are also going into the new trucks. they say they only face outward, but they do have the option to face in so I have no doubt that they will. they keep me busy. I average between 28-3700 miles a week. Don't mind going to an auto but the camera is no beuno. I started in 2012 and from then until now they have switched from being a carrier that caters to experienced drivers, to a company all about students. Theres really nothing that great for an experienced driver honestly. If you were brand new then yeah it's a good place. For example I like running the quickest route available. If that's a two lane road then so be it, but they are really against getting off the interstate and come at you with a lame excuse why they think the freeway is fast. The loaded miles they pay, have been off compared to the actual miles. They paid me 1650 miles from Laredo to Cali when actual miles were up around 1800. The lease seems alright I guess. Personally I was looking at it, but don't want to lease a truck that some student tore up for a couple years. I'd rather be able to lease a brand new truck, if that was the route you wanted to go.

they also have drivers do a lot of tings that don't make any sense until they finally tell the driver what the plan was after the fact. The other day I was told to pick up a load and swap it with another driver and take his load. I got done loading his and he shows up with an empty trailers and no idea of what I was talking about. I have a temper unfortunately so I called and asked wtf is going on.? Turns out They wanted me to pick up his load then babysit it until he got there THEN go pick mine up afterwards. Probably not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but don't tell me one thing and have it be a complete lie.Plus it cost me 3 hours that I could have used to get down the road somewhere. I understand things happen, but don't BS me.

being from where you're at give Stidham trucking a look. They are a small company out of Yreka,Ca.. red and gold trucks. run mainly west and I-5, but also run east. Paper logs and nice trucks. no hoods, but still an old school company that won't push you to run illegal if you don't want too. Just a thought
